T-Ball Division

This introductory division is for players turning 4 by April 1st of the season year to age 6. Players are invited to play in our T-Ball or Rookie (Fall) Division. Teams are set up so players can play with their friends as much as possible. This is an introduction to baseball where basic skills are taught and the game is played with a soft baseball. Games are 3 innings; with each player batting once in each inning.

Farm Division:

This introductory division is for players turning 6 to 7 by Aug. 31st. In addition to a Tee, live pitching is introduced in our Farm Division. Teams are set-up so that players can play with their friends/classmates as much as possible.  The next steps in baseball are taught at this level and defensive outs are recorded in addition to working on catching and throwing. Games are 5 innings long, with an inning-ending when 9 batters come to the plate or 3 outs are recorded by the defensive team. A softer baseball is still used.

Competitive Division (Coaches/Kids Pitch):

This division is for players turning 7 to 9 by Aug. 31st. If you feel your child is ready for a more competitive style of baseball, try our Competitive Division for 7 - 9 year olds or players who have played one year in our Farm Division. In this division, coaches will pitch innings 1, 2, & 5 and kids will pitch innings 3 & 4 with a no walk and no stealing rule. Scores and standings will be kept. The games are played with a real baseball. Players are expected to confidently catch and throw a baseball in this Division.  Teams are created thru a draft.

Minor Division:
This division is for players turning 9 to 10 by Aug. 31st. The first steps toward playing a real baseball game occur in the Minor Division. This division is best for 3rd and 4th graders.  The league will make an attempt to make the teams as even as possible and rules are in place to keep the games competitive. EYB hires umpires to officiate these games, which are completely kid pitch. Walks and Strikeouts are all part of Minor Division Games. Games are 6 innings long. Due to EYB's affiliation with Little League Inc., players that sign up with EYB and make the All Star team, will be eligible to compete in the Little League Tournament in July.

Major Division:
This division is for players turning 11 to 12 by Aug. 31st. A few more elements of the game are added in the Major Division. This division is generally for 5th and 6th.
